Families,
Youth & Children Ministry Area is responsible for
•
Supporting and initiating programs that encourage youth
and children in
their
participation in the Church community and in their support
of each other
•
Developing and maintaining contact with parents who
present
their
children for baptism
•
Establishing programs to support young families
•
Supporting Special Religious Education (SRE) and parish
sacramental programs
Current
ministries/activities
•
King's Kids Program
•
SRE support for both High School and Primary Schools
•
Child Baptism preparation/follow-up and Confirmation
•
Family services twice a month

short-term goals
Form
a team to assist with the following
•
Conduct the King's Kids program in January 2009
•
Contact parents of those baptised since 2005 and invite
them to
Carols
in December and to the Christmas Family Services.
Also
advertise these events on the King's Kids brochure that
will go to
the
schools in November. Also arrange a letter box drop
in the community
•
Begin preparation for the King's Kids program for 2009
•
Meet with young people who went to Youth Synod to discuss
possible
development of Youth Ministry for their age group
